Product complexity management

– when less is more

On Point: Free bite-sized webinars

10 September 2020

How can you optimise the balance between the value and drawbacks of complexity?

Excessive product complexity usually grows slowly over time. Caused by multiple, small decisions, it can seriously injure business performance, customer agility and team motivation. While the aim might be to satisfy more customer needs and keep or even gain market shares to profitably grow your company, adding too much product complexity can result in increased costs and an inability give your customers what they actually want. Rigorously managing and containing excessive complexity can be a real competitive advantage – as we’ve seen with mature companies like Scania and companies with start-up beginnings such as Tesla.

In this bite-sized webinar, we will explain why product complexity reduction can increase margins and growth, while providing concrete examples of how to manage complexity in your organisation.
