In the process of implementing a new ERP platform, but lacking a solid planning functionality, this international ingredients distributor sought to eliminate much of the short-term firefighting and manual work that characterised their supply chain operations.
By increasing forecasting capabilities the company also knew they could better serve their customers and seize market initiative.
The project goal was to build solid planning functionalities for the Sales planning and forecasting process using SAP IBP. This demand plan was consolidated and delivered to the ERP system for confirming a purchase plan.
Through close cooperation with SAP and the client’s IT department, a solid cloud-to-cloud integration solution for Dynamics 365 was created. A first of its kind anywhere in the world.
