Experienced sustainability consultant to join our team in Zurich

At Implement, we support people and organisations in facing the challenges of the future and in their change processes. To achieve the best possible results, we combine analytical thinking and intuitive understanding. We combine the latest theories with sensitivity to people and organisational dynamics. Last but not least, we actively involve people who are part of the change processes – we call this collaborative consulting. We have been successful in creating positive change with our approach for 20 years.

Join and help to build up our sustainability team and help organisations transform into a more sustainable future

Our sustainability team is growing. Customers are moving fast, and the challenges of helping organisations in climate and sustainability efforts are increasingly more about doing than saying.

For our team in Zurich, we are looking for experienced consultants who are committed to working with the most ambitious organisations and solving the largest worthwhile problems. By joining us, you will be helping organisations transform into a more sustainable future, and you will become part of a team with the ambition of creating tangible and measurable impact and helping our customers tackle the multiple dimensions of sustainability.

You will be working within (some of) the following areas:

  • Developing sustainable strategies (environmental, social and governance dimensions)
  • Supporting execution of sustainable strategies within organisations across markets and countries
  • Building organisational movements as a cultural transformation for sustainability
  • Developing environmental baselines (e.g. carbon emission baselines)
  • Working with global assessment tools, including ESG, Future-Fit, CDP, SBT etc.
  • Decarbonising supply chains
  • Enabling sustainable growth
  • Developing and integrating circular business models
  • Taking part in go-to-market initiatives, pitches and proposal preparation
  • Things we have most likely not even thought about

What we are offering

In the Energy and Climate team, we are a group of more than 50 consultants across offices who genuinely want to help transform organisations into a more sustainable future. We advise all kinds of ambitious companies and organisations independently of size and geography.

We are an established team, and we are growing rapidly. We have a ton of fun, are dedicated and are part of Implement’s broader mission to make the world fit for humans and fit for the future. We also offer support from a large, established sustainability team in the Nordics.

As an integral part of the Energy and Climate team, you will become part of a mixed team of colleagues with diverse backgrounds e.g. Engineers, Economists, Strategists across age groups, experience, expertise areas, nationalities and genders. We encourage diversity and thrive with it.

At Implement, we value professional and personal development a lot and offer great opportunities for you to develop. Depending on your experience and seniority, we offer the opportunity to be part of a large team, run independent assignments or eventually rise to the challenge. Lead or be led. We choose our own leaders.

Your background

As a person, you are ambitious, sympathetic, result-oriented and have strong networking skills. Thriving in a network-based culture, you have some commercial experience, possibly in selling advisory services, and you appreciate and set high-quality standards in your work. You are highly communicative, analytical and know how to solve complicated challenges. And you dare to be different.

You are fluent in both written and spoken German (C2) and English. French is a plus.

Preferably, you have experience within one or more of these areas:

  • Carbon emission baselines
  • Target setting and sustainability frameworks such as GRI, science-based targets, CDP, Future-Fit etc.
  • Sustainability strategies
  • Lifecycle assessments
  • Circularity in products, services and business models
  • ESG due diligence

  • Project management
  • Project and advisory sales

Your experience can be as a consultant or from a larger organisation. You have a degree from a university or a business school with a strong emphasis on economics, alternatively an engineering or technical background supplemented with a solid business understanding.

We look very much forward to hearing from you and hope that you will submit your application.
