Our learning game comPLAYance combines play and learning. The fact is that we are more susceptible to learning when we’re having fun, when we’re committed and interested in what we’re doing, and when we’re participating actively in discussions and using our knowledge. This is why we’ve created a game universe for compliance training that involves and entertains the players. We call it comPLAYance.

The GDPR comPLAYance game was initially developed for public authorities with focus on the challenges which employees in the public sector face in everyday life. First and foremost, the game is aimed at GDPR ambassadors, DPOs and other GDPR stakeholders. The questions have been prepared in collaboration with Kammeradvokaten/Poul Schmith to ensure a broadly based legal and technical collection of questions.

What is comPLAYance?

comPLAYance is a training method inspired by the principles of gamification, which is the process of making learning into a game. Through the game, comPLAYance creates a safe and involving environment for the participants to learn new skills, acquire new knowledge and practise new behaviour.

While the participants are playing the game, they can keep track of their score on the scoreboard, which helps create a fun and competitive atmosphere, involving them to a far greater extent than traditional training. Involving the participants leads to far better retention of knowledge while at the same time making the acquired knowledge more operationally applicable.

Simply put, comPLAYance consists of a gameboard and an app with different types of questions to ensure an interesting and varied game. At the same time, the app helps keep track of scores, facilitates a good flow in the game and ensures acquisition of important knowledge about the organisation’s knowledge level and potential weaknesses.

In comPLAYance, two teams compete against each other, and a game master runs the game. The teams compete to collect the most points by correctly answering as many questions as possible. The game can be played by 6-10 participants and up to 150 participants.

We have digitalised questions for the gameboard, which means that we also have the opportunity to include and develop specially adapted scenarios and questions based on the customer’s needs.

The GDPR comPLAYance game

For a number of years, Implement and Kammeradvokaten/Advokatfirmaet Poul Schmith have worked on offering different types of GDPR-related training, including DPO training and the DPO network.

Together, we have developed the game platform GDPR comPLAYance with the purpose of offering a training tool to acquire, brush up on or update knowledge and competences relating to GDPR.
