Creating better and more effective coherent action for disadvantaged citizens and families in Denmark
A total of 5 per cent of Danish citizens account for more than 65 per cent of the local municipal welfare expenditure. They have many points of contact to the municipalities’ various fields of expertise and typically receive a very complex and fragmented range of initiatives and services. If the municipalities bring together the various services in integrated welfare solutions, they will be able to create better and more effective initiatives for disadvantaged citizens.
In collaboration with several municipalities, Implement has been working on improving welfare initiatives for disadvantaged citizens. Our goal is to create initiatives that span across the different administrations and centres, and which also support disadvantaged citizens where they need it the most.
When municipalities simplify and integrate the wide-spread casework and the various initiatives for disadvantaged citizens into one solution, they will experience significant improvements. This applies not only to the quality of municipal welfare initiatives but also to the reduction of local municipal welfare expenditure.
