The project: Conducting a three-part project on the relevance of data to the development of artificial intelligence in Denmark

A Danish public agency wished to document the relevance of data to the development of artificial intelligence in Denmark. Together with Implement, they concluded a three-part project containing:

First part: the development of an analytical tool, allowing for quick operational screening of an actual dataset’s relevance to the development of artificial intelligence.

Second part: a complete screening of the Danish landscape of public data and workshop identification of high-value datasets for artificial intelligence.

Third part: the final report, written and delivered together with a prioritised list of datasets and barriers as well as the analytical tool to be published.

The impact: Datasets to make it possible to push forward the artificial intelligence agenda in Denmark

The report points towards actionable points to be taken towards the publication of datasets, which would be highly valuable to the development of artificial intelligence in Denmark. And so, the screening and the report have made it possible for the agency and the Danish public sector at large to efficiently push forward the artificial intelligence agenda and stay ahead in the global data science race.

Besides the report, the project constructed a valuable evaluation tool. The tool can be used by every business and individual in Denmark, who – even with limited experience – can determine the relevance to artificial intelligence of their datasets, allowing for more focused investments throughout the economy.
