The Transformation Model includes three main tracks and three main phases, all of which are integrated through a series of top-down feedback activities. Let us take a closer look at the activities in each track.

Track 1 - Setting the direction for the transformation and putting it into practice

  • Data collection – facts on the status quo and overview of change initiatives and deliverables
  • Mobilisation of executive management, including the ‘framing story’ that presents the transformation in a way that is clear and inspiring
  • Formulation of impact case – defining specific business and behavioural goals
  • Definition of impact measurement – including method for follow-up and implementation of impact
  • Continual follow-up on executive management’s day-to-day communications and conduct – to ensure their commitment and sustain the sense of urgency

Track 2 - Stimulating organisational interaction

  • Collection of feedback from customers and employees – on strategic direction and execution
  • Strategy for organisational change management – to integrate change management into specific projects as well as line management’s daily procedures
  • Cascades of communication, interaction and involvement – to ensure focus and maintain momentum throughout the organisation

Track 3 - Ensuring efficient execution

  • Design of governance structure and processes for ongoing execution, follow-up and reporting on progress
  • Support functions for transformation projects (i.e. programme office)
  • Start-up and planning of specific change projects
  • Basic training in change management and agile project management (for project managers and key project team members)
  • Coaching and support specifically within project management, communication and workshop/meeting facilitation
