Competence management

How can you develop the right competences?

How can you create real business impact through competence management? Most organisations have a strategy in place, but the real challenge is to make sure the individual employee and leader have the right competences to drive and deliver business results.

Competence management

Successful competence management is based on a model which describes the competences and behaviour that drives the company’s strategy and is linked to each job role. The model serves as a unit of measurement in a GAP analysis and defines the scope of the competence development activity in question.

Individual competence development is described in a personal development plan which is owned and driven by the employee and the leader. Each development activity is based on the competence in question and follows the 70-20-10 rule: 70% on-the-job training, 20% coaching, supervision and feedback and 10% formal training.
