On Friday 24 November, 75 members of Implement Consulting Group's Commercial Excellence Forum were gathered to an event focusing on how to challenge our customers through insights.

Line Helmark, Group Communication Manager at Rockfon, explained how Rockfon has fundamentally changed their dialogue with specifiers and customers by using insights to challenge their customers and thereby change the decision criteria of the specifiers and customers in a very mature and conservative market. Furthermore, Line elaborated on the challenge of increasing the collaboration between Marketing and Sales and building a customer-centric organisation.

Implement introduced practical tools and methods for building and communicating insights and how to ensure that your insights are linked to your value propositions.

During the morning we discussed the typical challenges and pitfalls in design and communication of insights, for instance:

  • Why is communication of insights one of the strongest levers of growth within Sales?
  • What characterises strong insights?
  • How do you design relevant insights across channels?
  • How do you communicate your insights across channels and use these to challenge the customers?
  • How do you engage the organisation and create a commercial mindset across Sales & Marketing?
